By combining technical due diligence (“TDD”) with a specially designed Real Estate Warranty + transaction liability insurance product, we can provide the most comprehensive protection for real estate transactions.

Transaction liability insurance does not typically cover breach of the seller’s warranties relating to condition of property. A buyer can utilise TDD to identify any discoverable issues with the property or properties within the transaction perimeter. Real Estate Warranty + product will then provide protection for issues that were not discovered during the diligence process (along the more traditional warranties covered by transactional risk products).

Real Estate Warranty + is the most comprehensive insurance available in the transaction insurance market today for real estate deals and has been specifically designed for large real estate transactions, whether single asset or portfolio deals. In order to obtain this extended coverage via the Real Estate Warranty + product, it is a condition that a TDD report has been issued by Sustera.

The insurance coverage limits range from €5,000,000 to over €1,000,000,000 (if required), and the insurance market can support transaction values of many billions of Euros.

The insurance will be placed with various insurance markets including certain Lloyds’ syndicates, with all insurers having a credit rating of A- or above.
